The story of my life is that I find a cool website, look at it, go find something else, and forget about the site that I found first. I’ve even tried to save bookmarks on my personal computer, but it never fails that I wouldn’t be able to find it somewhere else or remember the site to tell someone else.
Then along came Diigo. Diigo is a bookmarking service that is located in the “cloud.” That way I never lose my bookmarks and I always have access to them. Also, Diigo is a “social” bookmarking service. This means that I can bookmark a page and someone can search for “tags” about other sites uploaded by other users. This immediately takes my limited amount of search time and multiplies the number of items that I can find. I can follow and group with other Diigo users and also research with them.
Diigo is an extremely useful tool that has transformed my web searches and research. Now I am no longer one internet searcher “stumbling upon” random sites, hoping I find what I’m looking for. Now I am purposeful, effective, and efficient with my research time.
**And the Chrome Extension is pretty amazing too 🙂 ***
